Candice is passionate about helping women feel informed, supported and confident in their bodies. She enjoys taking the time to understand the bigger picture behind her clients’ concerns and working with them to develop practical strategies that fit into their everyday lives.
Her interest in pelvic health grew through working with women across pregnancy, postpartum and the different stages of life. She particularly enjoys helping women navigate changes that can feel difficult or embarrassing to talk about, creating a space where they feel comfortable asking questions and actively involved in their care.
Alongside her women’s health work, Candice has also developed experience in oncology rehabilitation, supporting women experiencing pelvic health concerns following cancer treatment. This includes rehabilitation following gynaecological and colorectal cancers, as well as managing treatment-related pelvic floor, bladder and bowel dysfunction. She also has experience supporting women through rehabilitation following gynaecological, abdominal and pelvic surgery.
Candice takes an evidence-based and individualised approach to physiotherapy, combining education, hands-on treatment, pelvic floor rehabilitation and exercise. She loves helping women understand how their pelvic floor and whole body work together, and supporting them to return to the activities they enjoy with greater strength and confidence. Depending on what each woman needs, her treatment may include manual therapy, dry needling, personalised exercise prescription and Clinical Pilates.
Candice has experience managing a broad range of pelvic health presentations, including bladder and bowel dysfunction, urinary and faecal incontinence, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain and endometriosis. She has completed advanced training in prolapse and pessary management and enjoys helping women find conservative strategies that work for them.
She also enjoys treating pregnancy and postpartum-related musculoskeletal concerns, including pelvic girdle pain, lower back pain, neck and upper back pain, headaches and other pregnancy-related aches and pains. She is passionate about helping women stay active and comfortable throughout pregnancy and supporting a safe and confident return to movement and exercise after having a baby.
