Why exercise following cancer diagnosis?

Research shows that exercise plays a pivotal role in helping people living with cancer to rebuild strength and improve their quality of life.

Exercise participation has been shown to reduce symptoms of:

  • Cancer related fatigue
  • Lymphedema
  • Cardio-induced peripheral neuropathy
  • Chemotherapy induced cardiotoxicity

What should I expect?

Our experienced exercise physiologist-led classes provide individualised, evidence-based exercise prescription in a group setting, fostering a sense of community and connection following cancer diagnosis.

Prior to attending group classes we will take you through:

  • An initial exercise physiology assessment to gain an understanding of your history and goals.
  • A followup consultation where we take you through your individualised exercise program, that will be based on our assessments at your initial consult.
