Myotherapy

What is Myotherapy?

Myotherapy is an evidence based therapy that utilises clinical reasoning, physical therapy techniques, problem solving and planning skills to treat and manage complex conditions. This client-centred modality focuses on assessing, treating, and managing musculoskeletal and neuromuscular pain and pathologies. Myotherapists use a combination of hands-on techniques including but not limited to deep tissue massage, joint mobilisation, nerve mobilisation, dry needling and electro dry needling as well as education and exercise interventions to aim for long term goals for recovery and pain management.

Myotherapy treatments can assist and aid in prevention, assessment, early intervention and treatment of injuries and pain and the ongoing management of chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Upon consultation our Myotherapists will assess your body as a whole to determine the most appropriate treatment for you as an individual. They will also work alongside other therapists where necessary to ensure you get the best care possible.
